The Russian Scientific and Practical Society of Veterinary Immunology and Immunopathology (ROVI) was founded in 2016. ROVI functions as a coordinator of the formation and development of domestic veterinary immunology and immunopathology as a branch of veterinary science. One of the main goals of the Society is to generalize and disseminate the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to ensure the professional activity of veterinary specialists and the development of veterinary immunology. The ROVI also aims to solve the following tasks:

  • formation of veterinary immunology as a discipline and its development;
  • adopting and popularizing the best practices of domestic and foreign immunologists (veterinary and medical) by holding conferences, workshops, publishing specialized literature;
  • development and assistance in promoting new effective tools and methods for diagnosing, treating and preventing infectious, invasive, allergic, autoimmune animal diseases;
  • the creation of a community of specialists in the field of veterinary immunology and infectology (practicing veterinarians, scientists, representatives of the biological industry and zoobusiness);
  • strengthening ties with humane medicine, the development of the One Health Doctrine – One Health, assistance in strengthening the infectious well-being of animals and humans
